Welcome

Call for Presenters!

The ASSP Central Valley Chapter proudly announces its official Call for Presenters to be a part of the 2024 Central Valley Professional Development Conference on May 22nd at the Visalia Convention Center.

Our speakers provide attendees the opportunity to build professional skills and knowledge, tackle and provide solutions to new and existing challenges in the Safety, Health and Environment field, and promote the development of new entrants in our field.  The Professional Safety Symposium includes a variety of practical and technical programs, which include management techniques and soft skills in the areas of safety, injury prevention, workers’ compensation, and human resources.

Speakers should design and practice their presentations to run inside of 60 minutes including the question and answer portion (e.g. 50 minutes plus 10-minute Q&A).

To register as a presenter please visit https://centralvalley.assp.org/call-for-presenters/

New Central Valley Seeking Employment Page

The ASSP Central Valley Chapter has added a new Seeking Employment page to our website.  We will post resumes for ASSP members (full or student members) who are seeking employment. Resumes will only be posted for 60 days.

People who are hiring new employees are encouraged to use this area to find qualified candidates and help fellow ASSP members who may have been adversely affected by Covid-19.

If you wish to have a resume posted here, send it in Word or PDF format to president@centralvalley.assp.org.

WISE Mentoring Program

The WISE Mentoring program successfully connects today’s most talented and experienced women mentors with rising and aspiring mentees. This pairing is designed to encourage and empower mentees to more effectively advance their careers through alignment with identified business objective, skill development, career option consideration, and network formation. All discussions are strictly confidential between the two parties. If you are an SH&E practitioner seeking to chart a successful career path or a seasoned pro eager to share experiences and insight, please visit the ASSP WISE website for more information.
